Since forming in 2019, FARROW has crafted a distinctive sound blending rock, soul, and funk, drawing inspiration from the revolutionary spirit of the 1960s and ’70s, combined with a modern edge. FARROW is known for high-energy performances, thought-provoking lyrics, and infectious melodies that embody their mantra: “Joy is Revolutionary!” Led by André Pilette (bass/producer) and Michael Farrow (vocals/lyricist), the band includes Cory Clancy (guitar), Michael Ruopoli (percussion), Rufus “Breezy” Cole, Jr. (keys), Carlton Campbell (drums), Deborah Powell (vocals), and Tamika Kennedy (vocals). FARROW’s music channels the joy and connection that come from shared human experiences, often exploring complex personal and political themes. In December 2023, our drummer and founding band member Tim Webb passed away unexpectedly. Collectively, we were shocked, devastated, and heartbroken. Tim was both a stalwart and a steward of the Buffalo music scene. He was widely respected and deeply loved, and he will be missed dearly. He was the heartbeat of this band. His passing came just as we finished our third album Organize. Alas, it is now his swan song, and his brilliance as a top-notch drummer is all over the record. We got to honor and celebrate our friend during the album release show at Town Ballroom on Friday, January 26, 2024, with several drummers who volunteered to perform in his stead. Tim Webb’s life and legacy are worth celebrating and ain’t nothing gonna steal our joy. Rest in peace and power, Tim.
